Today, at 27, he has realized his goal with Glacier Electric. Alex holds multiple electrical licenses and runs his business with integrity, ensuring fair treatment for customers and employees. His commitment to transparency in pricing and quality work sets him apart from others in the industry. Alex always puts the best interests of his customers first and works tirelessly to ensure his team completes projects to the highest standard. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Alex is known as a helpful and knowledgeable neighbor who is always willing to lend a hand.

Joseph Medeiros

Joey Medeiros, a dedicated heavy equipment operator, is being nominated for his outstanding work on the Big Dig project and his continued contributions throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Coming from a family of operators, Joey exemplifies hard work and dedication. Despite facing challenges, he remains committed to his craft and is now passing on his knowledge to the next generation. Laina, a registered nurse in Boston for 15 years, is a truly inspiring individual. Patients and co-workers are drawn to her warmth and compassion, making her an unforgettable presence in their lives. Jim Lyons

Jim Lyons is leading an impressive construction project at Mass General Hospital, which is running smoothly and ahead of schedule. Despite the challenges of the job, Jim is dedicated, being present on-site seven days a week. His commitment and passion for the project are truly remarkable. He is praised for being a crucial link in the healthcare chain, providing the facilities necessary for saving lives. Melissa McQueen

Melissa is a dedicated and hardworking nurse at Spaulding Cambridge for over seven years. During the COVID crisis, she was one of the nurses who helped lead the team in the newly transitioned COVID unit at SHC. Besides being a full-time nurse, she is also a full-time mom to two incredible children. Melissa is always hustling to balance her work responsibilities with her children’s school and extracurricular activities.

Roland Curtis

Roland dedicated over 30 years to serving the small town of Chesterfield, Massachusetts in various roles within the Department of Public Works, including Highway Superintendent. His leadership ensured that residents could safely navigate through severe winter weather, allowing them to reach work and essential services. During the 1970s oil embargo, Roland’s innovation saved taxpayers money by developing a wood burning heating system for the town’s public works garage. On 9/11, he provided comfort and support to elderly citizens affected by the tragic events, showcasing his compassionate nature. Now, at almost 87 years old, Roland remains a respected figure known for his selfless service to the community, family, and friends. His legacy of dedication has truly made a lasting impact on the city.
